In multiple chapters you will learn about the different therapies and what day to day life they bring with them. Our goal is to help you through your decision-making process when you have to work with a lot of new information.
Overall, Dialysis Orientation is a virtual and interactive value-neutral introduction to the different dialysis procedures: Hemodialysis (HD), Peritonealdialysis (PD) and kidney transplantation. With a VR application a standardized high-quality training can be assured for all patients, meaning every participant gets the same quality expeirence.
Each chapter is about one of these procedures and teaches about different aspects of the treatment aswell as the impact they have on the patient’s life. The participant gets the chance to do some examplary handles for the PD thus gaining further insight about what their life could look like.
